If you ask Beth Wolf, classroom teacher and a member of the SWMRC Executive Board to present a topic about books, she’ll want to share literacy ideas that keep “popping” up when she reads children’s literature (primary and intermediate). The word “popping” will probably make her think of her favorite snack, popcorn. So she’ll want to make some popcorn and that will remind her of “The Popcorn Book” by Tomie de Paola. She’ll want to read the book and literacy ideas will “pop” into her brain. And chances are she’ll want to share those ideas. (Thank you Laura Numeroff for this writing idea.)
